The web-based user interface is intuitive, well-organized, and easy to navigate. Managing backups and accessing key features is straightforward, making day-to-day administration efficient and user friendly.

While the user interface is generally excellent, some areas use relatively small font sizes, which can make certain information difficult to read and may impact usability during extended periods of administration.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Druva Data Security Cloud helps us protect and recover our Microsoft 365 data by providing a centralized backup and recovery solution for critical workloads such as OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams. This improves our data resilience, simplifies backup management, and helps ensure business continuity in the event of accidental deletion, data loss, or security incidents. The platform's intuitive interface and reliable support team also make administration and troubleshooting more efficient, reducing the time and effort required to manage data protection.

What do you like best about the product?

Druva eliminates the burden of managing legacy backup infrastructure. The centralized cloud console, rapid deployment, reliable automated backups, and immutable security protection make data protection completely hands-off and dependable.

What do you dislike about the product?

Restoring extremely large datasets directly from the cloud can sometimes be slow depending on bandwidth. The reporting and compliance dashboard options could also use more out-of-the-box customization, though the core data protection functions remain reliable.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Solves legacy backup sprawl, vulnerability to ransomware attacks, and high infrastructure overhead by replacing localized hardware stacks with a single 100% SaaS platform. Reduces total cost of ownership (TCO), drastically lowers backup admin time through automated policy management, and provides guaranteed data recoverability via immutable cloud storage

What do you like best about the product?

The onboarding team helped us get onboarded quickly, which has made a world of difference for our team, especially since we already have a lot on our plates.

What do you dislike about the product?

I don’t like having to call in to contact support. We ran into an issue with SSO and had to phone a number to get it resolved, even though most businesses offer chat or email support.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before, we didn’t have any backup solution for our data. Once we convinced leadership, we knew security had to be a main focus for us, and Druva Security seemed like the best fit—especially for protecting against ransomware.

What do you like best about the product?

Druva Data Security Cloud is its simple, cloud-based approach to data protection. The centralized management, strong security features, immutable backups, and fast recovery capabilities make it easy to protect data without managing complex backup infrastructure.

What do you dislike about the product?

Reporting customization is limited, and some configuration and restore processes could be simpler.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Druva simplifies backup and recovery, protects against data loss and ransomware, and reduces infrastructure and administrative effort.

What do you like best about the product?

The most useful portion of this product for my information technology role has been the backup client that we use daily. This has an easy-to-use interface, solid backup and restore options, and integrations if you so choose. It is quick with both backups and restore, and the ROI on this product in terms of time has been meaningful. The automated email and soon to be integrated AI makes things easy on both the technical and non-technical side.

What do you dislike about the product?

The only thing that does not meet the requirements of our general purpose is a lack of deadlines for the deletion of preserved users. Other than that, this tool has been easy to support and onboard our users with.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It helps ensure that data for executive-level or remote positions is backed up in a timely manner and can be restored if someone needs a new laptop shipped to them.

Druva Data Security Cloud is mainly used for endpoint and server backup. If a customer needs to back up their machines, such as laptops or desktops, that is the first use case. The second use case is when a customer needs to back up a server. Since most customers are going virtual and depending on virtual machines, virtual machine backup is also becoming very popular.

Druva Data Security Cloud is a plug-and-play product. I know a couple of solutions that require you to purchase a dedicated server for the backup and then they work, for example, Veeam. Although Veeam also has a complete cloud solution, their main selling solution requires a dedicated server for the backup. Druva Data Security Cloud is a completely plug-and-play product. You do not need to have a server. You just need to install the agents and deploy it to the end-users. I would say ease of deployment is a major advantage.

They also offer a pay-as-you-go model if a customer is using the MSP, which saves a lot of cost. They offer global deduplication as well. I think this feature is very exclusive to Druva Data Security Cloud. Not many providers are offering this solution. These are the major points that make Druva Data Security Cloud a good solution compared to others.

If a customer is using legacy infrastructure, such as in-house servers or in-house data centers, that is where Druva Data Security Cloud does not perform well as a backup solution. I think it is one area where they can improve.

Legacy infrastructure is mainly used by schools, universities, and government institutions. Because they have some critical data that they cannot put on the cloud, it makes sense that this is a limitation.

In this organization, it is going to be almost a year, but I have dealt with Druva Data Security Cloud for approximately four years.

Druva Data Security Cloud responds within the given SLAs. Support-wise, there should not be any issues. I personally have not heard of any complaints from customers regarding Druva Data Security Cloud's support. That describes how good their support is.

Druva Data Security Cloud does require installation and deployment. It also requires monitoring on how much storage has been used by the customer. If the customer has exceeded the data pool, then we need to notify them that their data pool is already filled up and overage charges might be applied after that.

I think a day is what it takes for a mid-sized company.

We have our engineers who go on-site or can perform the deployment remotely, depending on the situation.

The setup cost is reasonable.

I have dealt a couple of times with Acronis, but I am not specific about the products.

Druva Data Security Cloud is what I mention, because we deal with them and we use them as well. We also have a little bit of Veeam because we are reselling Veeam.

We are slowly transitioning to the MSP model, wherein we sell Druva Data Security Cloud as our service and are basically acting as a Managed Service Partner.

We purchased through channel partners, but now since we are a Managed Service Partner and offering them as a service, we purchase directly through Druva Data Security Cloud.

I think Druva Data Security Cloud would be top-tier because it has all the major compliances: PCI DSS, GDPR, and HIPAA. I think they have all the certifications and they are pretty much compliant.

Personally, I have not heard of or used VMware. We no longer work with VMware since it was acquired by Broadcom, as our partnership was actually cancelled by Broadcom since we do not do a lot of VMware business.

What do you like best about the product?

So far, my account rep and the support team have been pretty good and responsive whenever I’ve needed help. The main product also seems to work well overall.

What do you dislike about the product?

I don't like the user interface. I haven't tried any of the other products aside from the Enterprise Workloads backups.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is our cloud backup for mission critical servers. We have an On-prem backup system as well but it's always good to have at least 2 backup solutions.

Druva Data Security Cloud's main use case is user backup, specifically endpoint user backup.

For user backup, a specific example would be when an employee's laptop fails unexpectedly or due to a hardware issue. Druva automatically backs up user data files to the cloud, allowing our IT team to provision a replacement laptop and restore the user data from the most recent backup, so the laptop works again with the required data already there.

Another scenario would be if a user's laptop gets infected with ransomware. Rather than paying the ransom or attempting to clean the files, IT restores the user file from the backup created before the attack, minimizing data loss and helping the employee get back to work quickly.

Druva Data Security Cloud offers many good features, including cloud-native SaaS backup, immutable and air-gapped backup to protect against ransomware, broad workload protection for endpoints and cloud workloads, and most importantly, centralized management with a single console for backup and recovery.

The centralized console helps us manage every workload from a single pane of glass, allowing administrators to monitor backups, backup jobs for endpoints and servers, check backup failures, storage usage, compliance needs, and quickly recover with streamlined recovery options.

Druva Data Security Cloud has positively impacted our organization by simplifying backup management, consolidating protection of endpoints and cloud workloads, allowing for faster recovery from accidental deletions and device failures, reducing operational overhead, and improving security and compliance through immutable backups and centralized policy management.

Druva Data Security Cloud can be improved in multiple ways, such as more customizable reporting for compliance needs and faster restoration for large data files, particularly in large enterprise environments where speed is crucial.

Additionally, there should be more granular control with simplified licensing and better visibility of costs to give administrators detailed control over backup schedules, retention, and recovery settings.

I have been using Druva Data Security Cloud for five to six years.

Druva Data Security Cloud is very stable due to the infrastructure availability provided by the reliable cloud services it uses.

Druva Data Security Cloud is very scalable, allowing us to adjust based on our usage and requirements.

Customer support is really good and highly reliable.

I would rate the customer support an eight out of ten.

Druva Data Security Cloud helps us reduce costs, eliminates the need for certain employees, and improves efficiency in managing protection without additional infrastructure.

I purchased Druva Data Security Cloud through a partner, and its pricing is competitive for an enterprise backup solution. The setup cost is easy compared to traditional solutions since it does not require server deployment or software installation.

Before choosing Druva Data Security Cloud, I evaluated other options.

For anyone looking into using Druva Data Security Cloud, I would advise that it is a very easy-to-use SaaS-based solution that helps protect endpoints and servers without the burden of managing infrastructure costs. I would rate this product a nine out of ten.

The credit system is too complicated, and it’s difficult to find the exact number. No one explains it clearly, and I don’t know why. Also, from time to time the credit value shown on our dashboard changes, and the credit value on our dashboard and on their dashboard is totally different.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

After the initial setup is completed, no further action is required other than regular monitoring, which helps save time. However, some parts of the setup process are not clearly guided. Regarding security, I do not have enough information to provide any additional comments beyond that.
