I love that I can take any day’s pipeline, filter it, and act on it right away. It’s very easy to use and feels straightforward.

Workato can be complicated. Using ruby to do custom actions can get a little difficult. But with AI all things are possible

We are solving user issues related to MFA resets and password rests. Plus we have set up genie to help with self service content

Workato is provided to us by Autodesk as Forma Construction Connect. We use it to integrate our Construction Management software and ERP system.

The version we get from Autodesk is limited in functionality.

Integration between platforms in the cloud. Easy UI and full logging/auditing capabilities.

Too many systems and not enough time—this helps streamline things.

What do you like best about the product?

Over the last five years, Workato has given me so much. It has helped me grow as a professional and work across different industries around the world. I really like how developer-friendly it is, as well as all the connections and options it offers to automate and optimize tasks. Overall, it provides a wide range of solutions.

Although it is more expensive than other similar platforms, the price is justified by its user-friendly interface and the new features that Workato is constantly adding. Workato’s chat support is incredible—they have always helped me with questions about creating recipes or with ideas on how to achieve my automation goals

What do you dislike about the product?

Workato’s weak point is that it can be difficult to offer it to clients with small or medium-sized projects. The cost, especially for clients in Latin America, Asia, or India, is too high for most of them.

I also don’t like that the AI assistant for creating recipes is very basic. It seems designed for people with little or no automation experience, and its scope is quite limited. For someone like me, who works on complex business challenges, Workato’s AI is not useful.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

With Workato, I have developed projects for companies in different industries, including real estate, staffing, consulting, retail, and more. I have worked on large-scale data synchronization projects, pipeline migrations, document automation, ticket creation, marketing automations, and many others.

I have also fixed existing recipes, optimized high-consuming recipes, and created hundreds of new ones. Workato has helped me in many different scenarios, and I would definitely use it for all my business automation needs.

What do you like best about the product?

What I like best about Workato is that it combines integrations, automation, APIs, and AI agents on a single platform. I regularly use the Recipe Builder, Agent Studio, skills, knowledge bases, APIs, and pre-built connectors to build business workflows and AI-powered solutions.

The feature that has had the biggest impact on my workflow is the visual recipe builder. The drag-and-drop interface allows me to build, test, and deploy integrations much faster than traditional development approaches. Instead of spending days writing integration code, handling authentication, and managing API communication, I can focus on workflow design and business logic. This saves me several hours every week and helps accelerate project delivery.

I also use Agent Studio extensively for AI-focused use cases. In projects such as fraud investigation and intelligent case analysis, I've built AI agents that leverage skills, knowledge bases, and connected applications to retrieve information, analyze context, and perform actions across systems. Rather than building separate AI infrastructure, I can integrate AI capabilities directly into business workflows. Genies can use skills to interact with applications and knowledge bases to access business-specific information, which makes it easier to deliver practical AI solutions.

Another feature I use frequently is the connector ecosystem. Most of the enterprise applications I work with are already supported through pre-built connectors, and when a connector isn't available, I can use APIs or custom connectors. This flexibility means I'm rarely blocked when integrating new systems.

One unexpected benefit has been reusability. Skills, recipes, connector patterns, and agent designs can often be reused across multiple projects. As I've built more AI and automation solutions, implementation has become progressively faster because many of the components can be adapted rather than recreated from scratch.

What do you dislike about the product?

As my Workato implementations have grown to include integrations, APIs, recipes, and AI agents, I've found that troubleshooting across multiple assets can be time-consuming. While job logs and monitoring tools provide good visibility into individual workflows, I'd like to see stronger end-to-end tracing and dependency impact analysis to make it easier to understand how changes affect related recipes, skills, and integrations.

For AI use cases, Agent Studio has been valuable for building intelligent workflows, but additional capabilities around AI observability, response evaluation, and governance would help organizations monitor and scale AI agents more confidently.

I would also welcome improved asset discovery and visualization for large environments containing hundreds of recipes, APIs, skills, and connections.

These are enhancement opportunities rather than major drawbacks, but they would significantly improve the experience of managing enterprise-scale automation and AI solutions.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before using Workato, I spent a significant amount of time building custom integrations, maintaining API code, and manually coordinating data across multiple systems. As automation requirements grew, it became difficult to scale these solutions while maintaining consistency and governance.

Workato solved this by providing a single platform for integrations, automation, APIs, and AI agents. I use the Recipe Builder, pre-built connectors, APIs, Agent Studio, skills, and knowledge bases to build end-to-end business solutions. Instead of writing and maintaining large amounts of integration code, I can focus on designing business workflows and delivering outcomes faster. Agent Studio enables AI agents to use skills, knowledge bases, and connected applications to perform actions and support business processes.

One example is my work on AI-powered investigation and decision-support use cases. Previously, gathering information from multiple systems, reviewing data, and deciding next actions required significant manual effort. With Workato, I can orchestrate workflows that collect information, apply business logic, leverage AI capabilities, and automate downstream actions, reducing manual effort and improving consistency.

The biggest benefit has been speed and productivity. Tasks that previously required days of integration development can often be completed in hours using the visual recipe builder and connector ecosystem. The drag-and-drop interface, reusable recipes, and pre-built connectors save me time on every project and allow me to deliver solutions faster.

Another key benefit is reusability. Once I build a recipe, skill, integration pattern, or AI workflow, I can often reuse it across multiple projects. This reduces implementation effort, improves standardization, and accelerates future development.

In short, I struggled with disconnected systems, manual processes, and lengthy integration development cycles. With Workato, I can build integrations, automate workflows, and deploy AI-powered solutions much faster, resulting in reduced manual effort, improved productivity, and quicker delivery of business solutions.

What do you like best about the product?

I really appreciate the speed of innovation, the support SLA, and how easy it is to adopt.

What do you dislike about the product?

When searching for "is this connector available" on Google, there are some false AD claiming that it is available but in fact it is not.

A proof of concept can be completed in minutes to hours, which is much faster than with traditional coding.

Automating workflows no matter what your environment is. It could be a old legacy system, or recently adopted SaaS

MCP features are great but not great for governance from central point of view

Helps business' AI Adoption and it became easier for routine tasks

Easy to use and cover pretty all integrations we normally need. The performance and reliability is very good, too.

My manager would say the pricing is at a higher side but not much else.

Comparing to the previous tool we have, Workato solves the problem that we can talk to some cloud system much easier and get and send the data we need.
