What do you like best about the product?

Connected planning is where Anaplan truly shines. We've built a centralized courier demand planning model that acts as a single starting point for recruitment targets, operational planning, equipment planning, and top-down financial target comparisons. The calculation engine handles complex driver-based forecasting across multiple countries in one model. ALM with structures DEV-to-PROD deployment and data archives with cloudwork integrations gives us a disciplined, auditable cycle. After nearly 10 years on the platform, I'm still a genuine believer in what it can do for enterprise performance management

What do you dislike about the product?

Scenario modelling UX is the biggest gap - planners still can't fluidly compare alternative demand or supply assumptions without custom NUX page engineering. Performance under heavy multi-dimensional load is inconsistent; optimization requires deep expertise. Native reporting for downstream workstreams requires significant manual effort. There's also no automated architecture documentation, which concentrates knowledge in a small team

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

We run a monthly tactical planning cycle forecasting courier supply and demand across 6 active countries. Recruitment target and equipment demand is derived directly from courier demand within the same model, ensuring consistency between planning domains. The model also serves as a top-down target comparison against budget and financial objectives, giving finance and operations a shared source of truth

The ability to evolve and scale together with the evolution of our processes in our organization. This allows to streamline collaboration and enabling data driven decision

While the Support is improving, it is not yet best in class. From a platform perspective, many new capabilities often come with a separate cost

Anaplan helped us solve commercial planning challenges, improving cross team alignment and process standardization within the company

In my view, Anaplan’s calculation engine is one of the most efficient options available.

What do you dislike about the product?

Compared with other tools such as Pigment, the override functionality in Anaplan could be improved. In Pigment, you can override the calculated value directly, whereas in Anaplan it needs to be set up as a separate line item.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use Anaplan for various use cases. Earlier, when we performed these tasks in Excel or Google Sheets, the files used to become bulky and often wouldn’t load properly.

What do you like best about the product?

The performance and integrated platform that allow simple configuration to adapt into difference business needs. The user-friendly UI and the improving new enhancements.

What do you dislike about the product?

Integrations are limited. Hence when it comes to end-to-end solution to integrated with other platforms, it takes lots of effort to deliver a satisfied results.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Global finance FP&A, to allow multiple parties to collaborate on same product and facilitate the whole forecasting and planning process

What do you like best about the product?

Great tool for collaborating inputs from a wide user base. You can design the UI to suit your team and provide context to your specific use case.

What do you dislike about the product?

As with any cloud based platform you are reliant on stable server uptime but support is always quick to respond.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It allows for complex calculations over many dimensions that would not be possible at scale in offline solutions.

What do you like best about the product?

The calculation engine, first and foremost. One driver changes and every dependent module, dashboard, and report recalculates instantly, without dragged formulas or broken references. Dimensionality lives at the module level, so the logic remains readable long after it's built. It's a model you maintain instead of a spreadsheet you babysit. Add the newer UX enhancements, which make things noticeably easier for end users, plus solid integration with upstream and downstream systems and the recently introduced AI features, and it's a strong package. It has been pretty steep investment but the results have been sustainable.

What do you dislike about the product?

Honestly, nothing significant. It's a well-rounded tool that covers everything I need it to do.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Anaplan has taken the pain out of connecting our upstream and downstream systems, so data flows in on a schedule rather than someone pulling it manually. That means the numbers are refreshed frequently and automatically, and the team is working from a current single source of truth instead of chasing versions. Performance and UX are both a step up from spreadsheets, so end users can navigate large, complex models without files slowing to a crawl or breaking. It has also cut down significantly on manual close-cycle effort and given us the audit trail and access controls that spreadsheets simply can't offer.

What do you like best about the product?

I really value the platform’s flexibility in translating complex business processes into scalable planning models. The UX and intuitive model-building experience help speed up development, and the strong integration capabilities make data flows simpler and more reliable. Real-time calculations, a connected planning approach, and its growing AI capabilities also support faster insights and better overall planning outcomes.

What do you dislike about the product?

Anaplan’s biggest challenge is managing model size and performance as solutions scale. Complex formulas and large data volumes can require significant optimization effort. Integration setup can also be dependent on surrounding tools and expertise. The platform’s licensing cost may feel high for smaller implementations, particularly when ROI is harder to quantify.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Anaplan helps replace complex Excel-based planning and disconnected processes with a centralized, auditable planning solution. For me, this means faster model development, reusable calculation logic, automated data flows, and easier scenario modelling. Features like Versioning, Actions, Imports, and UX Pages reduce manual effort, while real-time calculations allow business users to quickly assess the impact of changes across connected plans.

What do you like best about the product?

Anaplan is very powerful in modelling multiple dimensions, connecting through data input, modelling, to output. We can load data in the model with a very comprehensive list, and have Anaplan modelled at the level of each list member, then consolidate in Reporting modules.

What do you dislike about the product?

Anaplan is running on cloud so sometimes it is slow, or if you make a mistake, you cannot cancel it midway.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our company relies on Anaplan to do modelling for each of the investment instruments. Anaplan is also very quick on Scenario modelling.
