What do you like best about the product?

I really like the way JumpCloud makes it so much easier to manage users and devices. I like that it's all in one place, rather than having to go to different tools to get information about user access and device. Creating new users is fairly easy and when someone needs to change roles or no longer needs access, making changes is easy. The interface is clean, and doesn’t take long to understand. I also like the security features, because it gives you better visibility of who has access to what. Once installed, it saves a lot of manual labor. It’s become one of those tools that makes regular access management less of a pain in the ass.

What do you dislike about the product?

There are a couple things that could be better. Some of the more advanced options are not obvious at first, so I had to spend some time figuring out where certain options are. The documentation is helpful, but sometimes I still had to search around to find the right info. I think the reporting could be a little more flexible as well. There are times I want to get specific information in a specific format, but the options offered don’t always give me what I want. There’s nothing major here that’s a problem, and it gets easier once you’re familiar with the platform, but it takes some patience to get through the initial setup.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

JumpCloud has helped get rid of a lot of the manual work and checking different places to manage access and keep track of devices. JumpCloud provides us a single location to manage users, devices and access. As per my example, when someone joins or leaves a team. Rather than the long list of discrete tasks, we can accomplish the necessary access changes much more quickly. This is useful when you’re checking what devices are connected and making sure users have the right access. This has cut down on some of the back and forth with IT and has made routine access changes easier to manage. The biggest benefit for me is just more visibility without having to maintain everything manually.

What do you like best about the product?

The management of devices for Macs and Windows (users, devices, setting up policies)

What do you dislike about the product?

Lack of Chromebook and Linux support (Linux for items like apps); if users are placed in groups for policies, they cannot be easily taken out for troubleshooting without disrupting all other syncs to the device/user; PIN saving in MDM not available if locked device (other MDMs have); cannot remove non-used VPP apps from list of software.

Remote connecting to devices (either with user interaction or background) work great.

What do you like best about the product?

I like that JumpCloud makes it easier to manage access to the different tools and systems our team is using. The centralized approach is especially helpful when employees join, change roles or leave the company. I don’t have to worry as much about access being missed between different apps. The interface is pretty straight forward and gives us better visibility into users, devices and permissions. I also like that I can manage access remotely, which is helpful when working with distributed teams. It takes some of the mundane access management work off our plate, and gives our team more control over security without adding unnecessary complexity to the process.

What do you dislike about the product?

The thing I find most difficult is that it can take some time to get your head around JumpCloud when you first start using it. There are a fair number of settings and configuration options, so it may take a little time for new admins to get comfortable with the platform. Other workflows also make you go through multiple settings before getting the desired result. Some of the terminology and configuration details can be a little scary from a non technical perspective. More streamlined reporting and easier customization for some admin dashboards would also be nice to see. There isn't anything majorly wrong, but the platform could be made easier for teams with limited IT resources by improving the onboarding experience and simplifying some of the advanced configurations.

JumpCloud has enabled us to centralize user and access management. Eg for reference, if someone joins our team, we can control their access to required systems without having to rely on multiple disconnected processes. It has also been useful when employees have changed their roles as access can be reviewed and adjusted more systematically. Another useful advantage is managing remote employees, as our team is not always working in the same place. In the past, it was a very time consuming process to track who had access to what systems. JumpCloud provides us with more visibility and less manual effort for account & device management. It has made our overall access management process more organized and more operationalized.

What do you like best about the product?

The platform is very clean, intuitive, and easy to navigate, which makes managing users and policies straightforward. Great support for cross-platform environments (Windows, macOS, Linux) and seamless directory integration with tools like Google Workspace and Microsoft 365. Fast, lightweight agent deployment with quick response times across all managed endpoints. Responsive and helpful customer support, backed by comprehensive documentation and step-by-step guides that make the initial setup smooth. JumpCloud replaces several standalone IT management tools with one unified platform. The time saved on remote technical support, policy enforcement, and application access control easily justifies the pricing.

What do you dislike about the product?

JumpCloud Workflows is a fairly recent feature that still feels incomplete. For instance, setting up certain integrations, like Zoom, is extremely complex and almost impossible to get working smoothly.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

JumpCloud streamlines identity and device management into a single platform. It allows us to easily enforce security policies, ensure compliance, and manage user identities across different operating systems. Supporting end users is exceptionally straightforward—we can seamlessly deploy software to their machines and provide remote troubleshooting, which drastically reduces our IT response times and simplifies overall administration.

What do you like best about the product?

It gives an overall IT management as well as the MDM. It gives great Integrations

What do you dislike about the product?

It gets difficult to integrate if migrating from an existing MDM. As the team doesnt support the implementation until you have opted for the same in your contract.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

MDM, I loved the features that it gives to IT and the amount of ease it brings when dealing with End points

What do you like best about the product?

I really like the customization options that JumpCloud offers, and I find creating endpoints to be quite easy. The organization within JumpCloud is crucial for my work, and the number of plugins available is excellent.

What do you dislike about the product?

The admin panel can be confusing at times, especially with user groups. Also, when linked to other IdPs, the linking process can be confusing.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

JumpCloud provides secure access to various customer environments and offers great customization options with ease of creating endpoints, which is crucial for organization.

What do you like best about the product?

I really like how versatile this product is. It helped us meet all of our safety requirements, and it also made it possible to support our staff remotely.

What do you dislike about the product?

I personally would have liked more how-to videos and clearer instructions. As a new member using JumpCloud, I had a lot of questions at the beginning, and more guidance upfront would have helped.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

As I mentioned before, JumpCloud helped our organization meet the safety requirements requested by our grantors.

What do you like best about the product?

It easily houses PCs and Macs in one MDM / Interface.

What do you dislike about the product?

It leaves a lot to be desired. Coming from Intune and JAMF, there are a lot of missing features still in JC. JC is doing a good job of adding new features but it isn't a 1:1 MDM change.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is helping us slowly move people off of on-prem AD. New laptops are setup in JC only and old laptops are migrating over to JC profiles only.

What do you like best about the product?

Stored commands is a nice feature, especially the ability to run multiple machines at once.

What do you dislike about the product?

Some hitboxes are very small. Makes navigation through website difficult at times.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's replacing AD as our Windows Profile manager.
