Airtable: A Blank Slate with a Cute UI, Snappy Performance, and Amazing AI Features!

    Reviewed on Sep 23, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Airtable feels like a blank slate. Because it supports many different field types, along with automations and integrations, it can easily serve as a one-stop shop for a wide range of use cases. The UI is easy on the eyes and user-friendly, so anyone can pick it up and shape it to suit their needs.

The AI features Airtable is rolling out are amazing. They take some of the more complex capabilities that can be harder to use directly and bring them into AI tools that let you use natural language to set things up. Performance is also snappy—connecting to multiple external sources with tens of thousands of records still allows for seamless back-and-forth data flows. Enterprise support has been friendly and prompt, and it has never let me down. Lastly, the ROI from consolidating tools into Airtable has been highly beneficial for my scope.
What do you dislike about the product?
As mentioned previously, Airtable is a blank slate, which some users may find intimidating as they don't know what to do with it first. In the hands of a skilled builder, it's a dream come true.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of access is very straightforward, compared to Airtable's competitors!

Airtable Powers Our Lean ERP with Great Automations and Responsive Support

    Reviewed on Sep 23, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable has been a key tool for our company. Its basics make the building of our ERP very lean (unique data layer, direct sync with shared interfaces, experience based on the collaborator role). Automations are of course a must for our organization now and remain very limited in cost, compared to the value they provide, including when it uses AI capacities. Support have always been quite reactive and helpful (expect one or two occurrences that seemed to be linked to my interlocutor). And finally their constant progress in communication and features make it up-to-date regarding the state-of-the-art and relieves us from benchmarking for migrations, more performing tool set.
What do you dislike about the product?
The successive joins between tables and limitations of 500 columns per table is definitely a constraint
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using it a unique source of truth, with no lack of confidence from any collaborator is a real value for the whole company, from executives to interns

Airtable: Scalable, Adaptable, and Easy to Build Powerful Workflows

    Reviewed on Sep 19, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is a highly scalable data platform that can support everything from simple workflows to complex business systems. Its intuitive interface, flexible building tools and in-app AI assistance make it easy for users to get started quickly, while still providing the depth needed for more advanced applications.

As AI accelerates and interfaces become increasingly user-orchestrated, the ability to capture, structure and connect data effectively is becoming a significant business advantage. Airtable makes this straightforward through extensive integration options, an accessible API and native MCP capabilities for both building applications and working directly with data.

Its real strength is adaptability. Applications can evolve continuously as requirements change, rather than being constrained by a one-off system implementation. This creates ongoing value and allows organisations to respond quickly to new opportunities, processes and technologies. Solid performance coupled with this adaptability means that return on cost investment is continual and not tied to one-off implementation of 'fixed' systems.

The platform is also well supported. Airtable provides extensive guidance through its support resources and developer documentation, while Airtable Academy offers structured learning and certification. An active user and developer community adds another valuable source of practical knowledge and support.

The future of business systems will depend on tools that are accessible, adaptable and able to evolve alongside rapidly changing needs. Airtable is well positioned to be one of those platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s very little to dislike about Airtable. It’s continually being updated with new features and additions - which is fantastic - but it can also mean that user-builders sometimes struggle to take full advantage of the more powerful new capabilities as they arrive. Beyond that, the downsides are few to none.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One straightforward problem that Airtable has helped solve across many developments and implementations I’ve worked on is the easy centralisation of core business data. For any business, this brings clarity and insight grounded in reality - something that’s hard to achieve when data is disconnected and scattered.

When data is more visible, operations become more visible too. Stronger data cohesion also supports better analysis, helping turn information into knowledge and, ultimately, wisdom. Time is saved when information is readily available and doesn’t need to be hunted down, and decisions can be made faster and more accurately when the full picture is accessible.

A Better Way to Organize Complex Workflows

    Reviewed on Sep 18, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Airtable is how flexible and customizable it is. I can take a complex academic workflow that would normally require multiple spreadsheets and turn it into a centralized system tailored to exactly how our team works.

Being able to link related information, create different views and interfaces for different users, and automate repetitive communication has been especially valuable for managing faculty scheduling, clinical placements, and broader academic operations. I also appreciate that I can keep refining the system as our processes evolve, without needing extensive technical or programming knowledge.

Overall, Airtable strikes a great balance for me: it’s powerful enough to handle complex workflows, yet still approachable enough for an administrative user to build, maintain, and adjust over time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest challenge with Airtable is the learning curve once you start using more advanced features like formulas, linked records, automations, and interfaces. Some of the more complex calculations and reporting can also take some trial and error.

I would also like more flexibility with permissions and user access when building interfaces for larger groups. Overall, though, these are manageable limitations given how customizable the platform is.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable is helping us move away from managing complex academic and clinical scheduling processes across multiple spreadsheets and disconnected systems. I use it to centralize faculty availability, assignments, clinical sessions, staffing needs, and scheduling information in one place.

This gives our team better visibility, reduces duplicate or outdated information, and makes it much easier to identify staffing gaps and follow up with faculty. Automations and customized interfaces also reduce manual administrative work and make our processes more scalable as our programs grow.

Airtable: Real automation, not just a prettier spreadsheet

    Reviewed on Sep 16, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best is how far I can build on my own. I've replaced entirely manual, spreadsheet-based workflows with systems that run themselves in Airtable, no engineering tickets required. It holds up as real infrastructure too. I have scripting-heavy setups where Google Apps Script feeds into Airtable bases, and it's the reliable backbone for all of it. The AI features are the other big one. When I'm building or debugging an automation, working through the logic with AI gets me to a working version much faster.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, my one real gripe is the learning curve. It takes genuine effort to get good at this. The features that make it powerful, automations, scripting, the way everything connects, are not things you pick up in an afternoon. I spent real time getting fluent before I could build what I build now. It pays off, and once you're past that curve the ceiling is high, but I won't pretend the ramp is quick or gentle.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's taken work that used to be fully manual and spreadsheet-driven and turned it into partially or fully automated systems. My team no longer babysits records by hand or copies data between sheets. I've built pipelines where email comes in, gets parsed, lands in the right base, and goes back out, all without me touching it. The benefit is time and reliability. The repetitive work runs itself, mistakes drop, and I can put my attention on the operation instead of the busywork.

Intuitive Interface with Multiple Table Management

    Reviewed on Sep 15, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the UI that Airtable provides; it's one of the first things that stood out to me. Things in Airtable are structured very well, allowing me to easily create multiple tables, add, edit, and delete information. Another aspect I appreciate is Airtable's connectivity through MCP, which makes it much easier for me to work from the cloud. These features, combined with the ability to create one workspace with multiple tables to track various performance metrics, make Airtable an effective tool for me. Transitioning from Google Sheets to Airtable was easy due to these features.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like what Airtable offers, but I really wish they could include more features in their free plan. It would be great to try out some of these features without upgrading to a premium plan, as it could motivate me to make that upgrade.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Airtable to manage records, like tracking email and blog performance. It lets me share data easily with my team for visibility, create multiple tables for different metrics, and manage everything efficiently. The MCP feature makes it easy to work from the cloud and take action on data.

Centralized sprint tracking has improved collaboration and now simplifies cross-team planning

    Reviewed on Sep 14, 2026
Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

Airtable is used to manage and keep track of sprints, and anything that needs to be prioritized or any specific Jira change requests that need to be considered, as well as any kind of sprint planning that will be performed in Airtable.

Airtable is used to ensure that any kind of recent sprints that need to be tracked, such as any kind of daily changes or any kind of activities that need to be performed, are captured there. We also have categorization across various different things, so if there is a need to communicate about any kind of recent change request changes that need to be performed or anything that needs to be taken into consideration, Airtable is part of the picture.

Overall, the program logs are maintained in Airtable, including milestones, deliverables, risks, issues, and change requests, all classified and tracking releases. Airtable serves as a centralized location wherein all developers, the operations team, CI/CD, and DevOps teams work together to ensure that sprints are scheduled and worked according to requirements and cases with comments added so that everyone has a high-level exposure of what is exactly happening in the organization.

    What is most valuable?

Airtable offers multiple different features, particularly in the planning sector and calendar options, wherein workspaces can be created and shared with colleagues working together. Airtable provides numerous features such as managing groups, enabling notification preferences, and allowing communication with colleagues wherever they are working, such as if one person is in China and another is in India, with the option to notify changes and customize language preferences. The appearance can be changed and Airtable can be integrated with multiple other tools such as calendars in Microsoft Teams for notifications. You can start with templates or use AI to build custom apps, tailoring workflows.

Workspaces are the primary focus because this is where all people have access shared between various different teams, allowing one particular person focusing on one area to make modifications or enhancements that are viewable.

Airtable has had a positive impact, where previously reliance was placed on a calendar schedule for stand-up calls, spending lots of hours to understand who worked on which task. After Airtable came into the picture, so much time has been reduced, primarily focusing on productivity and engaging in development. Airtable provides managers with an overview of operations performed, how long tasks take, and the expected completion dates.

    What needs improvement?

There is definitely a scope of improvement for Airtable, particularly in understanding the menu bar, which seems very small but has multiple functionalities beneath it. If things could be segregated based on Workspaces all together, it would greatly enhance user understanding of the product.

There are some UI changes that need to be improved, as this is where people start understanding Airtable better.

For how long have I used the solution?

Airtable has been used for more than three plus years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

    Airtable is definitely stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Airtable is scalable across multiple systems, handling high volumes or large numbers of requests from various groups with ease, maintaining application performance even under heavy requests.

How are customer service and support?

Customer support is really great; they are always helpful whenever cases are created and respond based on their SLAs.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

A particular solution was not being used. Reliance was placed entirely on separate lead managers responsible for managing operations, but now Airtable has replaced this.

    What was our ROI?

There are definitely multiple different kinds of change request releases which have recently happened wherein the product was launched. Multiple different kinds of defects were encountered and were preferably maintained as a bug. As a part of that process, sprints that release every bi-weekly, that is every two weeks, are performed. In those sprints, the major focus and work is on making enhancements to the existing infrastructure and deploying that particular infrastructure to production. This ensures that the environment is always safe and secure and has saved a lot of time rather than relying on manual workflow.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Pricing, setup cost, and licensing were pretty much easier because Airtable is straightforward. The pricing can be priced for five years and renewal of every two and a half years or every one year happens easily. Considering the pricing, pricing will be good for an enterprise if applications are enterprise-level. However, for a smaller organization, Airtable would not be recommended because it is commercial and a bit expensive for a smaller organization that cannot bear it.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

GitHub has been evaluated. There is a central repository wherein all the enterprise users can connect and do the merging or the branching of the operations. After that, Airtable has been tried.

What other advice do I have?

Airtable is advised for mid-level and CMM Level 4 or 5 organizations to consider using as a replacement for current GitHub repositories, as it connects various AI tools and allows cross-functional teams to work in a central location. This way, teams can understand expected ETAs for change request deployments and ensure tickets do not bridge into SLA.

Airtable is the best application to ensure integration among developers, DevOps engineers, and the CI/CD team. This review has been given a rating of 9 out of 10.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

    Public Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Incredibly Flexible Airtable Apps with Powerful AI Built Into Workflows

    Reviewed on Sep 11, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable’s genius is its flexibility. It lets you build applications quickly and tailor them to your processes without deep technical knowledge. If you’re comfortable with tools like Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Forms, you can get started with Airtable very quickly.

In our organization, we’ve used Airtable to automate employee onboarding, coordinate disaster relief efforts during times of crisis, compile and synthesize research to support evidence-based decisions, and manage and track assets. Today, we have more than 60 Airtable apps and bases, many of which leverage integrations such as Zapier, PDF.co, Formsite, and others.

Some of my favorite features are the flexibility to create different user interfaces for different audiences, the ability to deploy public-facing forms for easy data collection, and especially the ability to use AI at the field or cell level. That last feature is incredibly powerful because it allows AI to become part of a workflow rather than just a separate tool.

It’s difficult to calculate the total cost savings Airtable has created for us, but at a minimum, we estimate it has saved us about $50,000 per year compared with subscribing to numerous specialized applications to meet the same range of needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly struggle to identify much that I dislike about Airtable, other than the fact that new features sometimes arrive faster than I can fully explore the ones already available.

One challenge I do encounter is returning to automations or interfaces that I built months earlier. If I have not touched them in a while, it can take some time to reacquaint myself with how everything was configured before making changes or improvements. That is probably less a limitation of Airtable and more a reminder that I need to do a better job documenting what I build.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Employee onboarding, asset management, disaster relief efforts, Intranet forms, workflows, and notifications, etc. We also use it to support submitted IT support tickets by associating NFC tags with metadata inserted into the support ticket request form.

Streamlined Project Oversight with Room for Improvement

    Reviewed on Sep 10, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Airtable has become the backbone of my oversight, keeping deliverables, gate review dates, and the person accountable for each in one register, which eliminates the need to chase status through scattered correspondence. The calendar and Kanban views are fantastic as they clearly communicate what tasks need to be completed and when. The fact that discipline leads could adapt to the interface without formal training is a big plus. I also enjoy shaping a base around each workstream, allowing me to adjust the register according to different assurance frameworks imposed by clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integrations are a soft spot. Connections to external tools exist, yet occasional faults interrupt the flow and take patience to trace and put right. It's far from constant, though the disruption is noticeable when it occurs. Pricing is another reservation: we're on a paid plan, but each collaborator added to the workspace comes with a charge that's burdensome for a practice of our size. Plans that scale more gracefully with a growing team would be welcome. The connections to our document management and calendar tools are where faults tend to appear, with syncs failing quietly rather than flagging the problem, so clearer error reporting and a reliable log of what did or did not transfer would save me the hassle of tracing the gap by hand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable solves thin visibility issues by providing a comprehensive view of assurance obligations across projects, helping me catch stalling approvals or non-conformities early, maintain an audit trail, and adapt to different client frameworks seamlessly.

Airtable Makes Relational Systems Accessible for Non-Technical Teams

    Reviewed on Sep 09, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Airtable is the combination of a relational database with a front end that non-technical teams can actually use.

I build operational systems for small businesses, memberships, masterminds and service-based businesses, and Airtable gives me the flexibility to take processes that are scattered across spreadsheets, inboxes and multiple tools and bring them into one connected system.

I particularly like being able to link data across tables, build formulas and automations, and then use Interfaces to give different people a much simpler view of the information they actually need.

That means a business owner can have a high-level command centre showing things like revenue, client or member status, renewals, payments and operational risks, while the team works from completely different views designed for their day-to-day responsibilities.

It is flexible enough that I can build systems around the way a business already works rather than forcing the business into a rigid piece of software.
What do you dislike about the product?
The flexibility is also one of Airtable's weaknesses.

Because you can build almost anything, it is very easy for a base to become overly complicated if the underlying process and data structure have not been thought through properly first.

There are also still situations where I would like more control over Interfaces and the end-user experience. Airtable has improved enormously here, but there is a gap between building a great internal operational application and having the level of front-end flexibility you would get from a dedicated application platform.

As someone who builds Airtable systems professionally, I also have to think about long-term platform dependency. When a business puts a significant part of its operations into one platform, portability and future platform changes naturally become part of the architectural decision.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem Airtable solves for my clients is operational fragmentation.

Information often exists in several different tools and in people's heads. A founder may know what is happening across the business, but the team has no single place where that information connects.

I use Airtable to create systems that connect areas such as:

    CRM and sales pipelines
    Client or member onboarding
    Contracts and renewals
    Payment recovery
    Support requests
    Tasks and follow-ups
    Program or service delivery
    Engagement and retention
    Reporting and CEO dashboards

The benefit is not simply having the data in one place. The real value is making the business more visible.

Instead of someone manually checking five different tools or asking the founder what needs to happen next, the system can surface the records that need attention and trigger the appropriate workflow.

For the businesses I work with, that reduces manual administration, makes delegation easier, and gives the founder a much clearer view of what is happening without having to be involved in every operational detail.
