Online translation has improved my speed but interface pop-ups still slow down review work

What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Phrase Localization Platform is translating and proofreading texts for my clients. I do not have anything else to add about my main use case or the types of projects I handle with Phrase Localization Platform.
What is most valuable?
The best features Phrase Localization Platform offers are that it is pretty fast to use and it is similar to other CAT tools from my field, so it is easy to start working with it.
What stands out to me about its speed and similarity to other CAT tools when I am working on projects is that it is an online tool, so I do not have to wait much for segment confirmation and to load my projects.
Phrase Localization Platform has positively impacted my work and my clients, but from what I know, they are not fully happy about some features, especially regarding the AI translations because for Polish, which is my target language, they turned out to be of low quality.
Unfortunately, I do not know about any positive outcomes or benefits I have noticed in terms of workflow, speed, or client satisfaction because I am not working this closely with the client.
What needs improvement?
I would add that I do not prefer some of the UI choices, especially when I use the LQA feature, because when I finish the translation, the pop-up messages are hiding some important buttons for me, and I often forget to confirm a specific feature, which is problematic for my end client.
I would improve Phrase Localization Platform by enhancing the UI so that the most important parts, the buttons, are not hidden behind the pop-up messages. I would also add some more customization features such as colors and a dark mode, for example, changing the QA feature so that I can do it in batches instead of segment by segment because this makes me slower. Additionally, a customization of key binding would be useful.
These cover my main concerns about the needed improvements.

I have been using Phrase Localization Platform for around five years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Phrase Localization Platform is usually stable in my experience.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I have no idea how Phrase Localization Platform's scalability is from what I have seen because I am not dealing with scalability issues.
How are customer service and support?
I have not needed to reach out for customer support from my perspective.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have not switched to a different solution; I use MemoQ on a regular basis and Crowdin.
I have not evaluated other options before choosing Phrase Localization Platform; it is what is provisioned to me as a freelance translator, so I am using various solutions depending on the client.
How was the initial setup?
I am not dealing with pricing and setup for Phrase Localization Platform because I am a freelance translator, so a license is provided to me.
What was our ROI?
I do not know if I have seen a return on investment such as time saved or fewer manual steps that I could share because I am not dealing with those topics.
What other advice do I have?
I have not seen any improvements needed that we have not discussed yet. I am happy that the notification system started to work and I receive notifications about new comments to my mailbox, and that is an improvement.
I would advise others looking into using Phrase Localization Platform that they might be interested in Crowdin because it seems to me that it has some better UI features and more integration. I would rate this product a 7 out of 10.

What do you like best about the product?
The automated translation delivers consistent results and comes with a solid, user-friendly interface for managing everything. I also like that the sections are clearly separated, and the AI provides helpful, effective suggestions. Overall, the tool is very easy to use for translation tasks, and it includes a wide range of features and add-ons. It also offers various translation options, which makes it flexible for different needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I’d like to see more AI-based features included. At times, I’m unable to add a comment, which is frustrating. Also, some operations can’t be performed in bulk, and there should be an option to display all open requests in one place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us work faster and makes it easier to manage translations across multiple projects. It also lets us keep everything organized within a single project, and it fits perfectly into our workflow. It has become an indispensable tool for all our translators, especially when it comes to managing translated content.

What do you like best about the product?
It lets me update the application’s text strings easily and collaborate smoothly with others. It also keeps all languages synchronized, and I really appreciate the helpful AI suggestions for my language. I especially love the platform’s translation memory feature—the speed at which it proposes alternative translation options is fantastic.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be helpful to have clearer instructions for certain tasks, and the key detection still needs improvement. At times, the AI seems to lack enough context, and the user interface could also benefit from some recent improvements.

It makes it easier to manage translation tasks and streamlines communication within the team. The AI-driven translation features are extremely helpful, especially when we’re handling localization across multiple languages. What do you like best about the product?
Tracking TM and TB is quite easy. We can conveniently monitor translation progress and split files. The preview feature is useful for tracking files, while the string name and key note fields provide helpful context regarding the content.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, we cannot access the TM or save translations because the connection to the server is lost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Phrase addresses common localization and translation matters, including manual file handling, lack of real-time collaboration between developers and translators, inconsistent terminology, and slow release cycles for multi-language software/content. It certainly accelerates our time-to-market for new features across different regions. Automating translation management saves us valuable engineering hours that were previously spent on manual file exports/imports.

What is our primary use case?
I use Phrase Localization Platform for computer-assisted translation, specifically for video game translation and therefore text in subtitles.
What is most valuable?
In my opinion, the best features offered by Phrase Localization Platform are how easy it is to get started with it, even without ever having used it before. The fact that there's no need for installation is a big plus; you open it in the browser. The interface is quite intuitive, which comes back to how easy it is to get started. It's great for everything related to terminology consistency tracking since it has a glossary that records the terms that can be used. I would also say the fact that there can be collaboration between several translators within the same project is a standout feature. Additionally, you can handle large volumes without getting lost, given that the interface is really clear in that regard.
The fact of having translation line by line, plus the glossary, meaning I don't have to note down myself which term was used, was a real plus.
What needs improvement?
I think Phrase Localization Platform could be improved regarding the price for freelancers who are not working with a company that provides this kind of software, as the price is relatively high. Additionally, I would say that sometimes the interface is a bit slow, with small bugs where I have to reload the page to see the updated work.

Phrase Localization Platform was imposed on me, so I did not have other solutions to consider.
What other advice do I have?
My advice to those who are considering using Phrase Localization Platform is to go for it if it's work with large volumes, books, games, or anything that will require consistency from A to Z, since with the glossary and the sentence-by-sentence tracking, it's much easier to find your way around. I rated this product a 9 out of 10.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy, intuitive and straightforward it is to use. The platform is free for our freelance translators to use, which makes it easy to grow our team.
What do you dislike about the product?
We were forced to purchase an additional DeepL subscription when Phrase depreciated DeepL within its main engine (Phrase Language AI). It took a couple of weeks to solve our integration issue, and the extra cost makes it a lot harder for us as a charity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Term consistency across the organization with the use of the glossary, saving time and money with the use of translation memory. It is free for translators to use, which made it easy to bring new team members on.

What do you like best about the product?
One of the easiest CAT tools I came across. Easy to understand, visuals are simple, clear difference between Source & Target language. Superbly easy to close the task with LQA.
What do you dislike about the product?
Locked segments make some trouble while doing the review. You are bound to leave the errors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
While doing the MTPE Tasks, it's easy to perform the linguistic changes and AI translations. I am saving my time while doing the tasks.
