Efficient Image Access
Reviewed on Sep 21, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Canto allows me to access images quickly and in an organized way through its library.
What do you dislike about the product?
The library view just has some frustrating user experiences. I feel the UX could be much better, a little more modern. I also wish every addition wasn't so costly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Canto for quick and organized access to images, which streamlines our marketing tasks.

Endless Resource Library Possibilities with Canto
Reviewed on Sep 21, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The possibilities it gives to a library of resources.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it isn’t as intuitive as I’d like. Since I’m constantly working in Canto, I can usually figure things out on my own, but I know that some people in the company are less tech-savvy, and certain parts of the navigation can be challenging for them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A recipient where my colleagues can find a resource without me having to send them through multiple emails.

Easy External File Sharing with Live-Updating Share Links

What do you like best about the product?
I like that our Teams can share files with people outside of our organization and update Share Links live without having to resend a new link.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have a company overview presentation that gets updated almost weekly and our sales team has to check their notifications often to see if there is a new version of the presentation to download.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto gives us an asset management tool that is separate from our common SharePoint site allowing us to store all of our finished assets and marketing tools in one spot without employees having access to unfinished/working files.

Intuitive, Cost-Effective, and Thoroughly Supported—Canto Delivers
Reviewed on Sep 17, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Canto is very intuitive and easy to use. Our team isn't super technically savvy, so it's important that folks can use it. I also really appreciate the SharePoint integration as it made moving all of our content over very efficient. Canto was also one of the most cost-effective solutions that we evaluated, and the onboarding is super thorough. It's great having weekly calls to make sure we stay on track.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really can't think of anything I dislike about Canto. It really does exactly what it says it does.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our organization uses SharePoint, but it can only be used internally. Our marketing team uses external consultants so we also had a Dropbox. There were a lot of duplications of efforts and it wasn't very efficient. Now we have a quick and easy way to share collateral with graphic designers and consultants.

Easy Organization with Folders, Albums, and Fast Search
Reviewed on Sep 17, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I like how you can create numerous folders and albums within the app to keep everything organized, and how you can simply type in whatever you need to quickly find what you’re looking for.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I upload something, it always goes straight to the bottom of the album. I really wish there was a way to add new files under a specific section within the album instead of having them drop to the end every time. Also, it used to warn me when a file had the same name and ask whether I wanted to upload it as a new file or replace the existing one. It doesn’t do that anymore, and it’s really slowing me down because I have to manually delete the existing files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s a great way to keep all our files organized in the same place, and it also makes it easy to share everything with the whole team. We all know where things should live, and as a production artist, having access to it all helps a lot. Sometimes I’m given less-than-ideal image options to work with, but being able to jump back into Canto and search for something better really gets the ball rolling.

Intuitive, Fast to Learn, and AI Search Makes Finding Assets Effortless
Reviewed on Sep 17, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I believe Canto is very intuitive and quick to learn. Searching across multiple folders has been very easy with the use of newer AI features. Also, the accessibility of customizing how you download assets is extremely helpful for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much I dislike. I think editing more than a handful of data at a time is a little more difficult. For example, if I need to batch edit certain folders to update metadata.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto is offering a more user-friendly platform for our customers to access our assets. It also provides one location to access our assets across multiple brands instead of using several sites to do the same thing.

Easy Sharing and Portals, But Bulk Library Changes Are Tough
Reviewed on Sep 17, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
It’s easy to share images, organize files, and create portals.
What do you dislike about the product?
If your library is disorganized and you need to make sweeping changes, it can be difficult to apply those updates in bulk.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s helping us maintain a repository of images that we can easily share with both internal and external stakeholders. It also makes it easier to view our assets in one place, so we can take stock of what we already have and what we still need to create.

Canto Keeps Our Marketing & Brand Assets Organized and Easy to Find
Reviewed on Sep 17, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Canto is that everything is organized and easy to search through. We have both a folder for marketing stock and brand assets, and I do not have to spend too much time finding exactly what I need.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one thing I dislike is that a lot of our content is outdated. However, this is not at fault of the software, this is a my entity problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Often I am creating a graphic or visual post and need content for it that I do not have myself or don't have time to go out and shoot myself. Canto is a ready-to-use, university-specific database of images and assets that save me so much time when I need to put something together on deadline.

A flexible DAM that makes asset management easier
Reviewed on Sep 17, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Canto is the combination of ease of use and flexibility. The UI is intuitive for both DAM administrators and everyday users, which has made adoption much easier across our organization. I can organize assets, manage metadata and permissions, and create customized portals for different teams without making the system feel overly complicated.
The integrations and dynamic template capabilities have also helped us streamline our creative workflows and reduce the number of steps required to get content into the hands of our teams. One of the biggest benefits has been Brand Studio and the ability to create a branded, self-service experience where users can find and customize the assets they need without relying on our creative team for every request.
From an ROI perspective, Canto has helped us consolidate our asset management workflows while giving our teams more independence. I’m also interested in how Canto’s AI capabilities can further improve asset discovery, tagging, and organization as we continue to expand our use of the platform.
I also want to give a huge shoutout to the Canto onboarding and support teams. They have been instrumental in helping us get set up and have been incredibly responsive when issues arise. Having a support team that is knowledgeable, accessible, and quick to help has made a big difference throughout our implementation and ongoing use of the platform.

What do you dislike about the product?
There isn’t much I dislike about Canto overall. If I had to identify an area for improvement, I think the organizational UI could be a little more intuitive, particularly when managing a large number of assets, folders, and workspaces. As a DAM administrator working with a large enterprise library, having even more flexibility and efficiency in how content is organized and managed would be helpful.
That said, this is more of an opportunity for improvement than a major issue. Overall, Canto has been a very positive experience for us and has met our needs well.
That said, this is more of an opportunity for improvement than a major issue. Overall, Canto has been a very positive experience for us and has met our needs well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto is helping us solve several challenges around managing, organizing, and distributing our digital assets across a large organization. Before Canto, it was more difficult for teams to quickly find the right assets and get access to the content they needed. Canto has given us a centralized source of truth while allowing us to create customized portals and workspaces for different teams and use cases.
It has also helped us move toward a more self-service model. Instead of relying on our DAM or creative teams for every asset request, users can find what they need, access approved content, and in many cases create or customize materials themselves through Brand Studio and dynamic templates. This has reduced friction in our workflows and allows our creative and marketing teams to spend more time on higher-value work.
From my perspective as the DAM administrator, Canto has also made it easier to manage the library, control access, maintain organization, and support our users. Overall, it has helped us create a more scalable DAM environment that can grow with our organization.

Centralized Photo Management and Marketing Hub
Reviewed on Sep 17, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I like Canto as a nice central hub for storing photos of projects, making it useful for marketing and easy for team members to submit their photos. I appreciate the visibility and ease of use, and I especially value the Canto connector for integrating with InDesign, helping me to place photos without cluttering a shared drive. Using it day-to-day has been easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the Canto connector can be glitchy, particularly whenever we update anything on our computers. It just seems to have issues in those situations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto is a central hub for storing project photos, allowing easy collaboration and submission across teams. It enhances visibility and is user-friendly, especially with its connector feature for InDesign.
