Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one unit of API Portal Access cover for billing?
A unit gives you access to the Open Banking APIs. These APIs securely connect to customer accounts, retrieve financial data, and standardise it into one consistent schema. You contact the vendor to size the number of units to your needs. Services beyond the Open Banking APIs are not included.
What is NOT included in the API Portal Access option?
This option covers the Open Banking APIs only. Payment services, data enrichment, embedded portals, and expanded connectivity to pensions, investments, or asset valuations are not part of it. You contact the vendor directly to add any of these services to your agreement.
How is data access granted and retrieved through these APIs?
A customer grants one-time access or ongoing permission for updates for up to 90 days. The APIs then connect to the account provider and retrieve real-time data. Data is polled multiple times a day, and updates are pushed to your service. It arrives in a standardised schema.
