Pricing
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.

You buy Cursor through two dimensions. The Licensed Seat dimension charges per seat each year, with a minimum commitment of 75 seats. Pricing scales with the number of seats you license. Each seat includes a set amount of model usage per billing cycle. The additional_usage dimension covers on-demand model usage beyond that included amount. It bills based on what your team consumes, so it grows with actual use. Overpriced and bad experience

What do you like best about the product?
Cursor is good if you have enough coding knowledge. The initial setup process was easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cursor is very expensive and did not follow my instructions when starting to build my code in the cloud. Additionally, it consumes too many tokens when trying to make adjustments, and it doesn't have a button to download work from the cloud. I ended up spending £18.45 for a disastrous result with Cursor, while with Gemini I only spent £4.79 to get a good result. I no longer use Cursor because I didn't like the tool.

Title: Unexpected on-demand charges after I had disabled them

What do you like best about the product?
I don't anymore. I used to like lots till they charged me without me choosing on demand services
What do you dislike about the product?
I had previously disabled Cursor's on-demand usage because I did not want additional pay-as-you-go charges.
After upgrading to the $60/month Pro+ plan, I discovered a $200 on-demand limit on my account and received an additional $77.88 invoice.
I asked Cursor Support when on-demand had been enabled, when the limit was created and what action authorised it. They told me their tools cannot provide that information, but they still refused to cancel or refund the charge.
They also told me on-demand cannot enable itself and must be explicitly activated.
I had disabled it, did not knowingly re-enable it, and they cannot show me when or how it was enabled.
I'm cancelling Pro+ and moving elsewhere. I would personally look at Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf or another alternative instead.
A company using pay-as-you-go billing should be able to show customers exactly when additional spending was authorised.

What do you like best about the product?
It’s very smart and genuinely useful. The capabilities are strong, and it connects to many MCPs. It’s also relatively affordable, although a “Cursor Lite” option with a $10 subscription could be a great fit for people who still aren’t completely sold on it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Originally, it was simpler—an AI-powered IDE that worked amazingly well. I don’t fully love the other screen that’s focused only on the agents.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me with a lot of things: drafting alternative approaches to code, prototyping small new features, running security audits, automatically scanning my code for bugs or security concerns, and working in the cloud so I can start developing a specific idea as soon as it comes to me on the go, and more.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Cursor is how seamlessly it integrates AI into the coding workflow. It makes writing, understanding, and debugging code much faster and more intuitive. The AI suggestions are generally context-aware and helpful, especially when working across larger codebases.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I dislike about Cursor is that the AI suggestions can sometimes be inconsistent or require additional review and corrections. For larger or more complex codebases, it may occasionally misunderstand the context and suggest changes that aren’t quite what I intended.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cursor helps solve the problem of spending too much time on repetitive coding tasks, debugging, understanding unfamiliar code, and writing boilerplate. It speeds up development by providing context-aware suggestions, generating code, explaining existing code, and helping with refactoring.
