Overview
Sphere's Document Intelligence is a professional services offering for organizations implementing AI-powered document processing and document automation solutions on AWS.
Sphere designs and implements document intelligence solutions within the customer's AWS environment, using AWS services appropriate to the customer's architecture and requirements. Solutions may incorporate Amazon Textract for document extraction and OCR, Amazon Bedrock for AI-powered classification and interpretation, Amazon S3 for document storage, Amazon OpenSearch Service for search and retrieval, and AWS workflow services for integration and automation.
Contracts, invoices, reports, forms, and operational documents contain information that finance, legal, operations, and other teams need to make decisions, but that information is often trapped in formats that are difficult to process consistently at scale.
Sphere adds a document intelligence layer between content sources and operational systems. Documents are processed, classified, and structured, then routed into the workflows, applications, and analytics tools teams already use. Subject matter experts retain review authority while automated extraction and classification reduce manual document-processing work.
Sphere's five-step implementation process includes:
A two-week discovery phase and document workflow audit.
Document corpus ingestion and development of extraction and classification workflows using the customer's document formats.
Configuration of extraction confidence thresholds and exception routing, followed by three rounds of reviewer experience testing.
A 30-day supervised pilot focused on a defined document type or business unit.
Production deployment and optimization based on reviewer feedback and corrections.
Use cases include:
Legal — contract intake, obligation extraction, and renewal monitoring
Accounts payable — invoice extraction and purchase-order matching
Healthcare — document-processing solutions designed for regulated healthcare environments
Insurance — claims document intake and classification
Government — permits, regulatory filings, and records-processing workflows
Deployments run within the customer's cloud environment with role-based access controls and encryption in transit and at rest. Configurations can be designed to support applicable security, privacy, and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA- and PCI DSS-regulated workloads. Sphere does not aggregate customer document data across deployments.
AWS infrastructure and AWS service usage charges incurred within the customer's AWS account are separate from Sphere's professional services fees and are the responsibility of the customer.
