Grammarly for Education is sold as a seat-based contract. You buy a fixed block of seats to share across faculty and students. Two options set the scale of your purchase: a 50-seat block and a 1000-seat block. The number of seats is the only variable that changes pricing. You pick the block that matches your institution's size. Both give the same writing assistance; they differ only in how many people you can cover. Choose the 50-seat option for a smaller group or the 1000-seat option for wider campus rollout.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
A seat is one user account assigned to a member of your institution. You can allocate seats across both faculty and students. Each person who uses the writing assistance takes up one seat from your purchased block.
Each contract covers a fixed number of seats. If you need more coverage, you move up to the larger 1000-seat block or purchase additional capacity. Seats do not expand automatically. Choose the block size that matches your expected faculty and student count.
Yes. Both options provide the same Grammarly writing assistance, including tone, clarity, and rewrite suggestions that work across the apps your team already uses. Admin controls let you manage which AI features are turned on and who can access them. The only difference is the number of seats.

What do you like best about the product?
Grammarly AI has been very helpful in my daily work, especially when writing emails and text messages. It helps me improve grammar, make my messages sound more professional, and save time when communicating with agents and team members. Its suggestions make my final text clearer, more polished, and more professional while keeping my original message and meaning, and it’s especially helpful with grammar, sentence structure, and adjusting the tone for work-related communication. It also helps me quickly rewrite, organize, and polish drafts when I know what I want to say but need help making it sound clear and professional.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the suggested wording can sound too formal or different from my usual tone, so I still review and adjust the message before sending it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s made writing faster and more efficient and saves me time. It reduced the effort needed to produce usable text by helping me rewrite, organize, and polish drafts, and it helped make our team’s writing more consistent by keeping the tone professional, clear, and polished (with some adjustments for our specific style and terminology).

What do you like best about the product?
It helps me spell-check and make sure my writing flows with what I'm saying. Checking grammar to make sure my writing is professional.
What do you dislike about the product?
The suggestion is generic, and it doesn't match the tone I need. It changes my wording that I intentionally chose, so I have to edit the changes back. There are certain languages that are not in the system, and it also doesn't auto-save certain phrases and works.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It significantly improves correctness and allows for clarity in my writing.

What do you like best about the product?
I like Grammarly for grammar check, spell check, and sentence formatting. It was easy to use and easy to set up, and it met my requirements. Its suggestions significantly improved my final text.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tone check, plagiarism check, and the style editor didn’t work well for me. It also made no difference for keeping a consistent team brand voice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its suggestions significantly improved my final text, and the generative AI reduced the effort needed to produce usable text greatly.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Grammarly is easy to use and I can connect it to my mobile. I just have to switch keyboards to see the errors without needing to open another app.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I feel that Grammarly is very limited. I don't use the paid version, but the free features feel scarce. I wish that after making a mistake, the app would explain the correction to better understand my errors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Grammarly to improve my English grammar and communicate better with my English-speaking team. I like that it is easy to use and connects to my mobile, allowing me to see my mistakes easily without switching apps.

What do you like best about the product?
What I really appreciated was how quickly it catches mistakes and helps make my writing clearer and easier to understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool can feel a bit intrusive at times because it offers so many recommendations, especially on texts that are already well written.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team of eight relies on it quite a bit for document editing, so by now we know the platform well. Once I’m done writing, I usually paste the full document into Grammarly or upload it directly, and it gives me a clear, high-level picture of the overall quality of the content.
