Pricing
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.

This listing uses annual contract tiers plus usage add-ons. The base plans are Essentials (1TB), Standard Plus (6TB), and Premium (30TB), each including a set storage and egress allowance. You pick one plan based on your yearly transfer volume. Each plan also has matching add-ons for extra storage and extra egress when you exceed the included amounts. Premium adds a transmitted overage charge per GB. Several older tiers remain listed but are marked deprecated: Advanced (6TB), Enterprise (60TB), and their storage and egress add-ons. Storage measures the total data you keep with Aspera per month, counted in terabytes. Egress measures data transferred out of cloud storage per year, also in terabytes. Essentials includes 1TB storage with 10TB egress. Standard Plus includes 10TB storage with 100TB egress. Each plan meters these separately.
Each plan has matching add-ons for that overage. When you pass your included storage, Additional Storage units apply. When you pass your included egress, Additional Egress units apply. Premium also charges a Premium Transmitted Overage per GB for transmitted data beyond its allowance. These add-ons bill on top of your base plan.
Your base plan fee is fixed for its included storage and egress. Add-on charges accrue only on the amounts you exceed. They add to, not replace, the base fee. For Premium, the per-GB transmitted overage also adds separately. All applicable charges appear together on the same invoice.

What do you like best about the product?
Most folks notice something right away about IBM Aspera on Cloud - big files move without falling apart when hopping between clouds. Sticking everything into one flow means you do not bounce around apps just to upload, share, or follow progress. When teams work from different locations, particularly with big bundles like archived records, saved copies, or video clips, the connection holds up much better compared to dragging files through a web browser.
Most days, large file moves handle better than expected. When things finally line up, shared links, tidy workspaces, and progress checks make routines run smoother. Less drop during long sends means less repeat effort. Efficiency grows without extra steps.

What do you like best about the product?
The transfer speed is very fast, even when I’m moving large, heavy files.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface could be more user-friendly to provide a better overall experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the biggest challenges companies face is transferring large datasets and heavy files from one place to another, whether it’s between locations or from the cloud. For high-speed data transfer, I don’t see a better alternative than this.

I like that IBM Aspera on Cloud is very fast and efficient. It really helps me move large files with ease, especially when dealing with AI training data. The initial setup was very easy, and I appreciate that everything works fine and good. I also like how it integrates with IBM Cloud.

What do you like best about the product?
I like IBM Aspera on Cloud's user interface, which helps me to collaborate with people easily. I especially like the speed of the deployment. It also allows me to host my own AI automations to run tasks on a cron job, which means I don't have to do it manually. Overall, I think it's perfect for my use cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
At first, it was quite overwhelming as I knew nothing about it, but slowly got my hands working.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use IBM Aspera on Cloud to host AI automations on a cron job, eliminating the need for manual actions and enabling easy collaboration with a user-friendly interface.
