Financing for AWS Marketplace purchases

Pricing
Pricing and entitlements for this product are managed through an external billing relationship between you and the vendor. You activate the product by supplying a license purchased outside of AWS Marketplace, while AWS provides the infrastructure required to launch the product. AWS Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. However, the cancellation won't affect the status of the external license.

Make sure your PC has network access to all of the VAST Cluster compute servers (CNodes).

Browse to: https://<VMS_VIP>/, where <VMS_VIP> is the management VIP that you provided during installation. This is the IP used to connect to the VAST Cluster management server (VMS). The VAST Web UI opens.

If this is your first time connecting to the VAST Web UI, click I agree to accept the VAST Data End User License Agreement.

Enter your Username and Password to log in. For first time login, use the factory default VMS user account credentials: username: admin password: 123456. (i) VAST Cluster has one factory default VMS user account. You cannot delete the factory default VMS user account or reduce its permissions. After first time login, you can change the password for the default VMS user, create additional VMS users, and/or configure role based access with LDAP groups. For all options, see Authorizing VMS Access and Permissions. For subsequent login, enter a valid user name and password. This may be:
- A user name and password belonging to a user group on your organization's authentication provider (requires mapping the group to a VMS role), or
- The user name and password of a VMS user account.
- Click Login. You're now logged into the VAST Web UI and you're viewing the Dashboard.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy Vast Data is to use and how quickly I can get storage up and running with it. The wizards are effective at setting up storage pools quickly. I also like the reports it provides on what is happening with the storage. Overall, everything works really well for me.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about VAST Data is its simplicity, scalability, and performance. The platform brings storage, database, and AI-focused data infrastructure together in a way that helps reduce complexity while supporting very large workloads. I also like its focus on modern AI and data-intensive environments, where performance and efficient data management are increasingly important.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area that could be improved is the learning curve, particularly for teams that are new to VAST Data. Some of the advanced features and architecture can take time to fully understand. More simplified documentation, practical examples, and step-by-step guidance could make onboarding and day-to-day management easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
AST Data helps solve challenges around managing large and growing volumes of data while maintaining strong performance and scalability. Vast Data helps solve critical infrastructure problems that arise when companies try to work with unstructured data at scale. It helps a lot as it integrates very easily with NVIDIA GPUs, accelerating the use of artificial intelligence, making it perfect for everyday use.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about VAST Data is its innovative approach to managing and processing data at scale. I especially appreciate how it brings together high performance, scalability, and simplicity, which makes it easier for organizations to take on large, complex data workloads without adding unnecessary complexity.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about VAST Data comes down mostly to cost and complexity. It can be expensive to get started, and in smaller environments it can feel like overkill for what you actually need. The initial setup may also demand a lot of technical expertise, and some workloads might not benefit enough from VAST’s architecture to truly justify the investment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
VAST Data is helping us address the challenges of managing large volumes of data while also making that data easy to access for our workloads. It provides a scalable, high-performance platform that streamlines data management and supports better overall performance. For me, the biggest benefit is having a more efficient, reliable way to manage our data without needing to juggle as many separate storage systems.
