What do you like best about the product?
I like using Workday HCM for its ease of use and configuration capabilities. The platform is user-friendly, making it simple for me to manage employee data and lifecycle processes. I particularly appreciate the amazing reporting and dashboard functionality. Being able to pull together data from several different modules and function in a more cohesive way is a significant benefit for me. I also find the setup of Workday HCM to be complex but still intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I actually think that sometimes the user interface changes from new releases are unnecessary and create more confusion and less efficiencies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Workday HCM to manage employee data lifecycle smoothly. It solves reporting challenges by letting me easily access data on a user-friendly platform and provides excellent reporting and dashboard functionality by integrating data from various modules.

What I dislike about HCM is that the instructions for building configurations and reports can sometimes be confusing and difficult to follow, which can make the development process more challenging.

Workday HCM provides a centralized platform for employee data, reporting, and business processes. As an HR Technology Analyst, this benefits me by giving me access to reliable data that supports reporting, automations, and system enhancements, while reducing manual effort and improving overall efficiency.

What do you like best about the product?
I like Workday HCM because it makes employee information easy to access. The processes such as Time Tracking, Payroll, Benefits and Retirement etc are streamlined. I also like the selfservice features, which make it easier to complete routine tasks and find important information without needing additional assistance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Interface sometimes feels complicated and requires too many clicks for simple tasks. Some processes can also feel slow and cumbersome, and better navigation and customization would improve the overall experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workday HCM solves the challenges in managing the HR information and processes across different systems. It brings things like payroll, benefits, time tracking, and employee information into one place. Payroll processing, benefits from very complicated calculations for every pay period.

What do you like best about the product?
Workday often requires a more analytical mindset, because users need to interpret how the system behaves, find reliable guidance, and then apply that information to solve problems effectively.
In my day-to-day work, that means I’m consistently building skills in a few key areas. I research topics in Workday Community to better understand system functionality and recommended practices. From there, I identify the most relevant guidance and translate it into practical next steps. For example, I build benefit cards using knowledge I find in Community. When I’m writing reports, the samples and instructions posted by experienced Workday users help me create custom reports that suit my needs. Finally, I resolve basic issues independently by applying what I learn in a structured, repeatable way. Example, in case of a spouse death life event (12/31), Workday prematurely end-dated benefits 1 day prior to the event date (12/30) and incorrectly credited premiums for December. By re-entering the event date to 1/2, then all premiums were deducted correctly.

It can be cumbersome at times when unexpected issues come up. For example, during an OE event, the EOI task may not be available to employees. Then, once the OE event is closed, I’m left having to figure out who still has a pending EOI task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By connecting recruiting, onboarding, benefits, and payroll functions, Workday helps streamline the overall staffing and workforce management process. This integration saves time, reduces manual errors, and supports a more efficient employee lifecycle.

What do you like best about the product?
It is a one stop shop for most hr things. All the tasks I need to do are available on workday. I like the format of the site and how I can see what to click on.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is difficult at times to figure out where to go. Sometimes the menus are opaque. I may think I could find something in one place but it’s somewhere else.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workday helps me access all the HR things I need in my company. I’m an employee, a user of the product. I am able to complete necessary tasks by using it.
