    Overview

Cartesia is the leading Voice AI foundation model research and development company powering the next generation of Voice AI applications. The team developed a suite of products starting with core speech models and expanding into an end-to-end Voice Agent development platform.

Sonic models are the fastest text-to-speech model for real-time conversations, delivering ultra-realistic voice generation 2-3x faster than alternatives - complete with features for voice cloning, customization, controllability, and more.

Ink models are among the fastest speech-to-text models, optimized for real-time use cases and designed for real-world conversations.

Line brings these two models together into a Voice Agent platform, built with developer experience in mind. The flexible, code-first architecture lets teams connect to existing chat systems, bring in any agentic frameworks, and integrate with any systems.

    Dimensions summary

You choose between two contract options. The Scale plan is a fixed package that bundles 8 million model credits with up to 4,983 minutes of Voice Agent usage. Credits power text-to-speech and speech-to-text, while agent minutes cover voice agent calls. This plan also includes priority support and high concurrency limits. The Enterprise option is not a set price. Instead, you contact the vendor to arrange custom credits, agent usage, concurrency, and support terms. Do not check out with the Enterprise option; it directs you to reach out for a tailored quote.

    Top-of-mind questions for buyers

Credits meter text-to-speech and speech-to-text. Text-to-speech uses 15 credits per second of audio. A one-time voice localization costs 225 credits. Voice Agent usage is counted in call minutes, billed per minute of agent activity. Your Scale plan bundles 8 million credits and up to 4,983 agent minutes.
The Scale plan bundles a fixed 8 million credits and up to 4,983 Voice Agent minutes. If your usage grows beyond these amounts, the vendor directs you to the Enterprise option for custom credits, agent usage, and concurrency. Contact support@cartesia.ai to arrange those terms.
Both metrics come bundled in one fixed Scale package, so they do not add separately to your bill. Credits cover speech generation and transcription. Agent minutes cover live voice calls. You draw from each pool independently within the same plan until you reach either included limit.

Natural, Expressive Voice Tech—With a Learning Curve for Advanced Setup

    Reviewed on Sep 22, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I like how natural and responsive the voice technology feels. The speech sounds smooth and expressive rather than overly robotic, which makes a big difference when using it for customer facing experiences.
What do you dislike about the product?
That there can be a bit of a learning curve when you start exploring the more advanced options. The basics are fairly straightforward, but getting everything configured exactly the way you want can take some experimenting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping me create more natural voice based experiences without having to rely on traditional recordings or spend a lot of time producing audio manually. I can generate realistic speech quickly and make changes when needed, which is esp useful when testing different customer interactions or support scenarios.

Straightforward Setup and Clear Call Monitoring in Cartesia

    Reviewed on Sep 20, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I like how straightforward Cartesia makes it to set up and monitor AI voice agents. The Calls section gives me a simple view of completed calls, call type, duration, and other details, which makes it easier to keep track of how an agent is being used. The setup also feels approachable when testing an assistant for real business use cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some areas could provide more detailed information around individual calls. I would also like to see more flexibility and deeper reporting options as the number of agents and calls grows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Cartesia to experiment with AI-powered assistants for business workflows and customer interactions. Being able to create an assistant and monitor its calls gives us a practical way to test conversational automation without building the entire voice infrastructure ourselves. It helps us evaluate where AI agents can reduce repetitive communication work and improve responsiveness.

Cartesia Makes AI Voice Experimentation Easy, with a Smooth UI and Rich Voice Library

    Reviewed on Sep 08, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Cartesia is how easy it is to experiment with its AI voice features. I especially like the voice library because it offers a range of voices, accents, and languages to choose from, so it’s simple to find something that fits. I also appreciate the voice agent setup and the pronunciation controls. Being able to test these features on the Free plan makes it a solid option for trying out voice ideas before spending money, and it helps me plan my pricing budget accordingly. Also Ui/UX is so smooth to understand that i walkthrough each and every page and it was self explanatory.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike about cartesia is that I got little bit confused at frist because different features use credits differently. every feature has diffeernt credit usuage for some its by character , while other have on time , etc which is like i cant guarantee when tokens get consumed by how much.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The pronunciation problem is what Cartesia is solving for me. It enables me to create a custom dictionary, which is really useful when using AI voice that needs to correctly say product names, categories, and division/vendor names in our use case. For example, “Bud Light” sometimes gets pronounced like “bird light,” and this helps prevent that.

The Voice Agent section was another strong part of the platform. You can create an agent and connect things like instructions, tools, and a knowledge base, which was a lifesaver. That way, when customers ask questions, we can be more confident the AI won’t hallucinate.

Low-Latency, Natural Voice with Smooth Streaming and Easy Integration

    Reviewed on Sep 07, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The biggest advantage is the low latency, which makes conversations feel more natural and responsive. The voice quality is also quite natural, especially for conversational use cases. It integrates well with our existing voice-bot stack and has been relatively easy to implement.
The streaming capabilities are particularly useful because we can start playing the response without waiting for the entire audio to be generated. We use both STT/TTS voice models, and the voice model rates are best in market.
What do you dislike about the product?
Indian English and Hinglish pronunciation can sometimes be inconsistent, especially with names and local terminology, so it takes many trials to get it right. More granular controls for emotion, tone, pauses, and overall speaking style would also be helpful. The voice library could include more high-quality Indian voices and additional regional language options, although this may be a plan limitation on our side.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Cartesia TTS/STT as the voice-generation layer for our AI voice bots. The key requirement is to generate natural speech with very low latency so customers can have a smooth, real-time conversation.
Cartesia helps us reduce the robotic feel of automated calls while maintaining the responsiveness required for customer-facing conversations. This is particularly important for use cases where even a small delay can make the interaction feel unnatural.

What do you dislike about the product?
the cost of the solution is very high if used at a professional level even for the pro model
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
have the ability to create an agent that contacts people to invite them to an event
