Overview
P4 Cloud is the Perforce-managed and hosted option of Perforce P4, with single tenant instances available across the globe.* Perforce handles all server administration and configuration, so teams get best practices built in from day one, with no server to set up or maintain. P4 Cloud also gives teams the ability to easily add and remove seats as project needs change.
Optimized for teams of up to 100 users, P4 Cloud is available through a flexible monthly subscription at $39 per user. To get started, select your deployment region, choose your user count, and Perforce will configure your managed P4 environment.
*P4 Cloud is currently available in the following AWS deployment regions: US-EAST, US-WEST, EU-WEST, and UK.

Dimensions summary
Perforce P4 Cloud bills you on usage across three separate meters that add up on your monthly bill. You pay for Seats based on user capacity per server per hour, so cost tracks how many people access the hosted version control. You pay for Storage by total instance capacity in GiB per hour, with the first 64GiB free. You pay for Egress per MiB of data transferred out, with 64GiB of monthly egress included. Each meter scales independently with your actual consumption.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
A Seat maps to user capacity on the hosted server, metered per hour. You pay for the number of users able to access the version control at any given time. Costs track how many people you provision, not just active logins in a moment.
Your first 64GiB of storage is free, and 64GiB of egress is included each month. Once you pass those included amounts, you pay per GiB per hour for extra storage and per MiB for extra data transferred out. Only the usage above the included amount is charged.
All three meters bill independently and add up on one invoice. Seats often dominate for teams provisioning many users. Storage grows as you version large files, common with 3D assets and binaries. Egress rises when many users sync data out across locations. Your workload determines which meter leads.

What do you like best about the product?
The upgrade service cost next to nothing and the upgrade to latest version, with Swarm added, is much more stable than my previous version.
What do you dislike about the product?
I could not be more happy with how the upgrade was run so professionally and with all questions answered as we went along. The gentleman that helped me was superb.

Stability and addition of Swarm. Great products

The easy and quick access to files is most helpful
What do you dislike about the product?
It needs to be debugged occasionally. We have ran across minor glitching
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The benefits are that we can have multiple users, especially with cloud supported integration.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The product was great for team use. A multi-user interface helps make our integration process faster. HC provides good access to cloud-based files. HC has an excellent support team. Available when you need it. Help with fixing bugs. The price is semi fair, but maintenance costs are a bit high. The cost is per license (per person).

What do you like best about the product?
P4 Helix Core is a battle-tested solution that supports large file systems. All of the standard and advanced features are here including branching, merging, diffing, file locking and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
GUI Client is too basic and won't detect local file changes automatically. This makes missing file checkins or misunderstandings about latest version vs. local version very confusing, especially for non-engineers.

Complete and reliable file version control solution for our software project that supports small and large teams.
